Winchester, Model 1902 (Later Variation), CAL: 22 S. L, & ExL., MFG: 1902-31, SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' barrel. Later variation with the plastic buttplate & in .22 Short, Long & Ex Long. The original straight grip wood stock is excellent, having been very lightly sanded & excellently refinished. There are almost no handling marks remaining on the stock. There is evidence of a tight hairline crack that ran from above the trigger up to the barrel, it did not go through to the inside & is no a distraction to the grading of the wood. The original metal blue finish has worn mostly to a thin brown patina, with 20% remnants of original blue in protected areas around the sights & under the wood. Bore is very good. The barrel holds a fixed rear & blade front sights. Stock carries a Winchester plastic buttplate. Serpentine trigger guard. A second variation that presents very well.
