J. Stevens Arms Company, Model 1915 No. 27 Favorite, .Cal. 22 LR, MFG: 1915-20, SN: 0701, Falling block Takedown Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. This is a No. 27 due to the octagon barrel, & was made prior to 1920 when the ''SVG'' stamping appeared on the receiver. The straight grip wood stocks are very good, having been lightly sanded & nicely refinished. There are a few very minor scratches & contusions remaining. The metal has mostly worn gun metal gray, with remnants of original blue in more protected areas. Bore is very good, as barrel looks to have been professionally relined. Fitted with a Lyman flip-up tang sight, while the barrel carries an open rear dovetail & long blade front sight. Replaced hard rubber buttplate. In the cocked position the hammer hangs a bit slack. Gun appears top function correctly. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 250
