Remington U.M.C., Model 6 SMOOTHBORE, CAL: .32 Short or Long RF, MFG: 1912-33, SN: S-353732, Single Shot Falling Block Rifle, 20'' barrel. Although this model started production in 1901, this rifle was produced after 1912 when Remington & UMC consolidated, as stamped on the side of the receiver. The straight grip wood stocks are good & solid, despite a 2'' crack the both the top & bottom of wrist. There are light scratches, scrapes & contusions to the original finish, along with one larger missing chunk of wood from the left side fo the forend. Matching SN on stock & barrel. The metal blue finish on the barrel 80%, but fully covered with lots of spotty areas of pitting. The case-hardened receiver still displays mutted case-colors. Bore is poor, with large areas of deep pitting & scarring. Small blade front sight, but open dovetail missing fixed rear sight. Remington-UMC smooth metal buttplate.
