Sterling, Double Hammer Shotgun, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1894-1914, SN: 001CGB (Water Table/Barrel), Break Action SxS, 30'' barrels. The original checkered flat pistol grip stocks are very good, having been sanded & refinished at one time. There are dings, scratches, scrapes, vice marks & thinning finish. There is a blank silver sheild initial plate on the pistol grip flat. The laminated steel pattern on the barrels is faded, but visible in protected areas. The browned finish on the barrels has faded to a smooth brown patina, with intermittent spotting. The case-hardned frame has remnants of case-colors, but mostly toned to a brown patina. Bores are very good, with intermittent spotting. The solid rib holds a single front bead. Stock has a grooved metal buttplate. Double triggers. Mechanical operation appears to function properly.
