L.C. Smith (Hunter Arms), Field Grade, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1914/15, SN: 351005, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 30'' barrels. The original checkered, capped pistol grip stocks are very good & solid, with a layer of finish added at some point in time. There are a few small grain cracks coming off the tail end of the side plates, alongside minor scrapes, nicks & dings. The original blued finish on the barrels has worn to a mix of original blue, brown patina & areas thinned to metal gray. The case-hardned frame retains faded, but visible case-colors, but mostly worn to metal gray, with spotting toned to a brown patina. Bores are excellent, with light wear marks from honest use. Solid, matted rib holds a single front bead. Stock has a grooved plastic buttplate. Double triggers. LOP: 14 1/8'', DAH: 2 5/8'', DAC: 1 5/8''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
