A.W Spies, Half Stock Kentucky Rifle, CAL: 35, MFG: 1840's-70's, SN: NONE, Percussion Muzzleloader, 32 1/8'' barrel. The right side plate is marked ''A.W. SPIES''. The top of the barrel is marked ''H. M'CLALLE?/ AUBURN''. The straight grip wood stock is good. There is a repaired break ahead of the lock plate, a couple small cracks, scrapes & dings. The blued finish on the barrel has fully toned to a brown patina, with edges worn to metal gray & some blue undertones remaining. Some pitting on/around the nipple & barrel. The side plate & hammer have worn to a mix of blue, brown patina & metal gray. The maker's name is bordered by scroll engraving & a bird game scene on the tail end of the sideplate. The brass hardware has an aged patina. Bore is poor, dark & rough. Fixed notch rear sight & blade front sight. Crescent metal buttplate Single trigger. Ramrod present. Blackpowder, No FFL Req. - Value: 250 to 450
