Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori, Model: M1896 Swedish Mauser, Cal: 6.5x55mm Swedish, MFG: 1919, S/N: 469847, Bolt action rifle, 25 1/8'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with some light scuffs. Scratches & dings. Stock has been notched for the new bent bolt handle. The upper handguard is missing. The right cheek of the stock has a brass bore rating disc. Triangle marks on the ''1'' in the small section & the ''0'' on the large section. The blued metal finish on the barrel rates 75% with scratches & a large spot worn gray were the rear sight was. The blued metal finish on the receiver rates 70% with spots of wear & thinning. The left side of the receiver is marked with the inspectors initials ''H.K'' & the S/N. the top of the receiver band is marked with a crown over a script letter over '''CARL GUSTAFS STADS'', ''GEVARSFAKTORI'', ''1919''. S/N matching bolt & buttplate, mismatched magazine floorplate. The receiver has been tapped for a scope. Replaced trigger, single stage with a 3lb pull. Missing both barrel bands. The bore is excellent near MINT. Its bright & mirrorlike with no visible wear. The rifle has no sight. The stock carries a steel buttplate left in the white. The upper tang of the buttplate is marked with a small crown & the last three digits of the S/N. Rifle has the original rear sling loop, has no forward sling mount.
