Colt Bisley, CAL: 38 WCF, MFG: 1904, SN: 258881, Single Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The pistol carries an ampersand ''&'' mark used by Colt to indicate a revolver having been returned to the factory for adjustment, repair or refinishing. The checkered & Rampant Colt hard rubber grips are very good, with a couple of minor nicks or contusions, & smoothing of checkering from use. The metal blue finish rates 70% overall toning grayish/brown as it thins & ages. The cylinder bright blue rate 85%. The case-hardened frame displays strong case colors. Bore is excellent, bright with proud rifling. Matching SN on the frame, trigger guard & bottom strap. The top of the barrel is stamped ''COLTS PT.F.A MFG. CO HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''(Bisley Model) 38 Special''. Left side of frame is stamped with the two line patent dates. Action & cylinder timing function properly. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2500
