Smith & Wesson, Number Two Old Model, CAL: 32 RF LONG, MFG: 1861-74, SN: 30085, Single Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The wood grips are very good. There are contusions, scrapes & dings, with protective oils added over time, contributing to darkening. The inside right grip is marked ''44360''. The top of the barrel is marked ''SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS''. The left side of the barrel is stamped ''F&N'' alongside a couple straggling ''F'' stamps. There is one ''F'' on the right side of the barrel. The cylinder is faintly marked ''PATENTED APRIL 3, 1855. JULY 5, 1859 & DEC. 18, 1860''. The metal finish has fully toned to a brown patina, with remnants of blue on the cylinder. Bore is poor, dark & rough. Notch rear sight & blade front sight. This was a popular Civil War sidearm, but was never actually purchased by the Army. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 500
