Colt (Made in Spain by Astra), Junior Colt, CAL: 25 AUTO, MFG: 1958-68, SN: 93 CC, Semi Auto Pistol, 2 1/4'' barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked ''JUNIOR COLT/CAL .25'' & the left side of the frame is marked with three Spanish proofs. The right side of the barrel is marked ''COLT'S PT F.A MFG CO./HARTFORD CT USA''. The right side of the frame is marked '' 93 CC '' & in two vertical lines, ''MADE IN SPAIN/FOR COLT'S''. The Colt monogram checkered plastic grips are excellent. The original blued finish rates 85% overall, with some areas worn to metal gray & other thinned areas, toned to a brown patina. Bore is very good & bright, but with thinned rifling. Fixed notch rear sight & low profile blade front sight. Colt marked factory mag.
From Coltforum: ''The Junior was made in Spain by Astra for Colt beginning in 1958, and was discontinued in 1968 due to the 1968 Gun Control Act that forbade importation of ''non-sporting'' firearms. The Junior serial numbers have a ''CC'' suffix, and the guns are marked ''Junior Colt'' on the slide and ''Made in Spain for Colt's'' on the frame. Junior serial numbers began at 1CC and ended at 85082CC. The Junior was made in both .25ACP and .22 Short chamberings. Colt even offered a Conversion Unit to convert a .25ACP Junior pistol to .22 Short. The Colt Junior and the Astra Cub are physically identical. Early Colt Juniors even have plastic stocks like the Astra, not wood stocks like the later Junior production. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
