Winchester, Model 1873, 3rd Variation, Marked .32 W.C.F. Cal., MFG: 1901, SN: 558720B, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip wood stock & forend are very good, having been cleaned & reoiled over the original finish. There are several minor scratches or scrapes & a couple areas of chatter contusions to the belly of the forend. The metal blue finish has worn & toned mostly to a consistent brown patina, with a few spots on the receiver worn to gun metal gray. The loading gate retains the large amount of its original blued finish. Bore is very good, but with areas of cleaned roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & pinched silver blade front sight. Stock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Dust cover slides smoothly. Smooth tight action. A solid & good condition 1873, with a nice aged appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
