Winchester, Model 1886, CAL: 40-65 WCF, MFG: 1894, SN: 86678, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The stocks display several minor to small gouges, contusions & scratches to wood & finish, which is a mix of original finish & an added layer of finish. There is a thin sliver of wood missing along the right upper edge of the upper tang. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a very thin brown patina. The case-hardened receiver has likewise faded & worn gun metal gray, with faint outlines of faded away case-colors, Lots of original blue remains on the top of the bolt. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & silver pinched blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A solid & very nice, mechanically sound 1886 rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 3000 to 4500
