RARE Winchester, Model 1892, marked 44 WCF, MFG: 1918, SN: 847805, Lever Action Rifle, RARE 24 1/4'' Half Octagon Half Round barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are excellent, with several minor to small handling marks, light scratches & contusions to the otherwise excellent original finish. The original factory blue rates 85% on barrel, 90% on the mag, 60% on the receiver, with areas of thinning toning to a brown patina. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & pinch blade front sight. The stock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A fantastic original condition rifle, with the rare octagon to round barrel & in the most popular 44 WCF caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3500 to 6000
