Winchester, Model 55, .32 WS Cal., MFG: 1950, SN: 1074728 , Lever Action Rifle, 24 3/8'' Round Nickel Steel barrel, Button mag., The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with several minor handling marks, scratches, & contusions to the finish. The stock has been cleaned & reoiled over the original finish, the forend appears to display just the original finish. Which is thinning some from use & some light flaking. The original metal blue finish rates 80% on barrel, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina & remnants to blue in more protected areas. The lever, bolt & hammer retain a majority of the original blue. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman flip-up, large disk aperture tang sight, an adjustable rear sight & a Lyman blade front sight. Bore is excellent & bright. Stock carries the original serrated shotgun style metal buttplate. Very nicely configured & collectible rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1750 to 2500
