Marlin, Model 1894, .25-20, MFG. 1902, SN: 244112, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The wood stocks are excellent & solid, as being previously sanded & refinished. The stock may be a replacement as there are minor fit issues at the tangs & against the receiver at the wrist. There are very few minor handling marks remaining. There is a repaired chip at the front left side of the forend. The rippled & contrasting grain on the stock is very attractive. The metal finishes have all worn to a gun metal gray, with spotty areas of old cleaned pit scarring & several nicks or abrasions on the barrel. Bore is good, roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & Rocky Mountain long blade front sights. Crescent metal buttplate. The hammer is currently stuck in the full back position, as the trigger spring is broken. It does come with the rifle. It will need to be replaced to restore full functionality. Missing screw in belly of the receiver. A small project to restore a great old lever rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
