Savage, Model 99, CAL: 300 SAV, MFG: 1951, SN: 616516, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with tiny to minor handling marks, scratches & contusions to the original finish. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 85%, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray with a thin brown patina & some remnants of blue in mor protected areas. The case-hardened lever has also worn gray with a thin brown patina. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver holds a tang mounted Williams peep sight, while the barrel holds a Savage adjustable rear sight & ramp elevated blade front sight. The stock carries the original serrated metal buttplate. A quality vintage lever. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
