Savage, Model 99 Take-down, CAL: 250-3000 SAV, MFG: 1927, SN: 305762, Lever Action Rifle, 22 1/4'' round barrel. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent. There is a small chip & 1/2'' crack at the toe, a small gouge on the belly of the stock & other minor handling marks, scratches & contusions to the original finish. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 40%, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray with a thin brown patina. The case-hardened lever has also worn mostly gray, but with remnants of case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver holds a side mounted Redfield peep sight, while the barrel has a lead filled rear dovetail & ramp elevated blade front sight. The stock carries the original serrated metal buttplate. A quality vintage take-down lever. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
