Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall Rifle, .32 W.C.F. Cal., MFG: 1917, SN: 118473, Lever Single Shot Rifle, 28'' Octagon #1 stamped barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. There is an ebony tip to the schnabel forend. There are some tiny to minor handling marks, scratches & contusions to original finish. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%, 80% on the receiver due flaky spot loss. The case-hardened lever, block & hammer all display muted to strong case-colors. Bore is excellent. The receiver is mounted with a flip-up, slide adjusting, large disk aperture tang sight, while the barrel carries an adjustable rear sight & a folding ivory bead & globe front sight. The stock carries the original metal buttplate. The barrel is stamped with a ''1'' forward of the forearm. Under the forearm on the barrel is stamped with the caliber ''32 WCF'', as well as on the left flat of the barrel. A fantastic & high original condition low wall rifle, with upgraded sight package.
