RARE J. Stevens A&T Co, Model ''Unitary'' Prototype Favorite, CAL: 25RF, MFG: Antique, SN: NVSN, Falling Block Lever Action Rifle, 23'' Octagon/round barrel. This prototype rifle was built by long time stevens employee Bill Goyette, & features a unique action that drops the entire firing group as a unit on lever action. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. They appear to carry the original finish, with a few minor scratches, contusions & scrapes. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%. The brass receiver & spur lever have developed a beautiful spicy mustard brown patina. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver is fitted with a flip-up, Stevens tang sight with Hadley eye cup. The barrel carries a single leaf fold rear sight & a ivory bead folding globe sight. The bottom flat of the barrel is stamped with the # ''14'' under the forearm, while the # 21 is stamped on the bottom of the barrel in front of the forearm. The stock carries a checkered plastic buttplate. This is a fantastic example of a unique & rare prototype & part of the history of the Stevens Favorite. Antique No FFL Req - Value: 2000 to 3000
