Winchester, Model 70 Super Grade, CAL: 220 SWIFT, MFG: 1955, SN: 328234, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' Round tapered barrel (standard for only the 220 Swift & 300 H&H Magnum Super Grade rifles). The factory deluxe walnut wood stock has the Super Grade raised cheek piece, deluxe wrap-around checkering, metal pistol cap & ebony forend tip. The stock carries the original finish, with possibly a thin add layer some time ago. There is still thinning at the carry points & several minor scratches scrapes & contusions. Matching gray metal refinish on the barrel & receiver, rating 98%. The blue finish on the floorplate appears to have been restored. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver is mounted with a period correct vintage Lyman All-American scope, while the barrel holds a flip-up rear & a hooded ramp front sight. The receiver is factory tapped for scope mounts. SN matching jeweled bolt. Buttstock carries the original widow's peak, checkered metal buttplate. Sling provisions, with original sling swivels. While nearly 20,000 standard grades were made in 220 Swift, few were produced in Super Grade, making this rifle still collectible amongst enthusiast. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
