Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 300 H&H MAGNUM, MFG: 1957, SN: 403372, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' barrel. Desired pre-64. The original, checkered & flat pistol grip stock is very good, with several minor handling marks, scratches & contusions. The original metal blue finishes rate 90% on barrel, 95% on receiver, 80% on the floorplate & trigger guard, with some spotting & nine 1/4'' numbers or initials electric penciled onto the floorplate. Bore is excellent & bright, but with a couple of small spots of roughness. The receiver has three of the four factory holes open from previous scope mounting, while the barrel has the original folding leaf rear & a hooded front ramp sights. SN matching bolt. Stock carries a Pachmayr solid rubber recoil pad. Factory sling loops. The 300 H&H Mag caliber is one of the most desirable calibers amongst collectors & premiums are typically paid for examples which present well. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
