Winchester, Model 70, marked 225 WIN., MFG. 1972, SN: G1065958, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel. The factory checkered, capped pistol grip & cheeked Monte Carlo walnut stock is excellent & original. Factory finish is excellent with few tiny scuffs. For some unknown reason, the recessed cutout for the floorplate hinge plate has been oversized cut & done so crooked leaving a gap between the inlayed hinge plate & the edge of the wood. The original metal blue finish is 90% overall, with a bit more wear to the edges of the floorplate & trigger guard. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver is mounted with a Bushnell Sportview 4X, 32 waterproof scope, while the barrel has screw filled front & rear sight provisions. Jeweled bolt. Stock carries a Winchester solid red recoil pad. Sling studs. A sharp appearing rifle in the most desirable caliber for this era of production 1964-80. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
