Remington, Model 1903 Sporterized, CAL: 30-06, MFG: 1943, SN: 3341547, Bolt Action Rifle, 20 1/2'' barrel. The altered & customized original stock has an added cheek & metal capped pistol grip, with is very good & solid. The stock has been cut down & given a schnabel style forend tip. The wood shows several minor scrapes, scratches & contusions to the finish. The metal blue finish rates 75% overall. Bore is good, with spots of roughness amongst thinning rifling. The receiver carries a Stith Mounts Bear Cub 4X Double scope mounted on Redfield mounts, while the barrel has no open sight provisions. Buttstock carries a White-Line ventilated recoil pad. Sling loops. This rifle has a worn trigger sear, which allows the striker to drop when moving the bolt after the rifle is cocked. It cannot be safely unloaded & could easily misfire, therefore is not safe. This rifle will require gunsmith repair to function properly & thereafter is being sold ''AS-IS'' with no returns.
