Remington, Model 40-X, Target Centerfire Rifle (RANGEMASTER), CAL: 6mm REM, MFG: 1961-64, SN: 17863, Bolt Action Rifle, 28'' Heavy target barrel. The original flat pistol grip target wood stock is excellent, with numerous minor scrapes, scratches & dings to the original finish. Has the factory bolt groove on the forward of the comb. The belly of the forend has an integrated rail for accessory mounting. There is a 4'' tight stress crack on the right side of trigger running back into the wrist. The original metal blue finish rates 90% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver/barrel is fitted with a J. Unertl target scope, with screw-on caps. The barrel carries screw filled holes at muzzle end for scope block mounting. The stock carries a White-Line recoil pad. A very nice Remington target rifle. FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
