Vector Arms, Model: Uzi (HR4332S), Cal: 9mm, MFG: Receiver: 1980s-90s, Complete Gun: late 1990s-2000s, S/N: 504666, Semi-auto rifle, 16 1/8'' barrel.
HISTORY: Group Industries of Louisville, Kentucky, founded by Michael Brown in the early 1980s. they made full-auto & semi-auto Uzis from a mix of their own MFG parts, & converting Semi auto IMI (Israeli) made UZI carbines into full-auto machine guns. They would start production of their own receivers in January of 1986, there were for both full-auto & semi-auto guns. This would be bad timing because in May of 1986, The Firearm Owners Protection Act would be signed into effect which prohibited civilians from acquiring machine guns produced after May 19, 1986. To poke fun at the law makers, they named their Uzi model the HR4332 after the House of Representatives Bill. By the time the bill was passed they produced 761 Full-auto Uzis & a couple thousand receivers. Group Industries would file for bankruptcy in 1993 & in 1995 they were court ordered to Liquidate the company. Ralph Merrill, president of Vector Arms would buy at auction some of their Transferable Uzi receivers & some of the Semi-auto Uzi receiver & basically started where Group Industries left off. It would take them a few years to start up production & deal with the legal side of things but in the late 1990s & early 2000s their full-auto & semi-auto Uzis started hitting the market.
CONDITION: The grooved black polymer pistol grip & foregrip are excellent with a couple minor scuffs & light handling wear. Metal folding buttstock. The parkerized finish on the barrel rates 98% with a minor scuff. The black paint finish on the rest of the metal rates 97% with a few light scratches. The left side of the receiver is marked ''VECTOR ARMS. NSL. UT'', the rear left side of the receiver is marked ''HR4332S'', ''9mm/45 ACP/ 22'', ''GROUP IND'' in their logo, ''LOU KY 40214''. The right rear side of the receiver is marked with the S/N. The bore is excellent. The receiver holds a adjustable post front sight with protective ears, & a non-adjustable, aperture flip up L sight with 100 & 200 meter positions. The folding buttstock has carries no buttplate, but the shoulder end is grooved for better control. The gun appears to be in full working mechanical order. Comes with a 3'' dummy/display barrel, it is solid all the way through & is basically a barrel blank. It does mount to the gun, but it will not function with the firearm & is only for display purposes. Does not come with a mag. FFL Req - Value: 1200 to 2400
