Winchester, Model 74, Marked .22 SHORT, MFG. 1946, SN: 143868, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' Tapered round barrel, The original American straight grain walnut & pistol grip stock is very good & solid. The stock has several minor scrapes & contusions to the original finish, with an added thin layer of finish. The is a 1'' tightly repaired crack at the forend tip. The original metal blue finish rates 60% on the barrel, while the receiver has 40% coverage of finish toning to a brown patina. Bore is excellent. Fitted with an adjustable rear sight & small blade front sight. The unusual receiver mounted safety functions by sliding it side to side within a dovetail channel. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
