J. Stevens Arms Company, Model 70 Visible Loading Repeater, .22 Long Rifle. Cal., MFG. 1907-34, SN: None, Pump Action Rifle, 20'' Octagon barrel. This rifle was fully & nicely refinished. The stock is a period replacement which has been sanded & refinished, with minor remains of old contusions & scrapes. The original forend is excellent, with an added layer of finish. The high gloss metal blue refinish rates 99% on the barrel & 70% on mag tube due to spotty loss. The receiver carries a vivid case-color type finish. Adjustable rear & front blade sights. Bore is poor, with lots of roughness amongst heavily worn rifling. Checkered plastic buttplate. Action is solid & tight. A unique & sharp appearance on this refinished vintage pump rifle.
