H.M Quackenbush Model ''Safety Cartridge '', Cal: .22 LR, MFG: 1896-1907, S/N: None, swinging breech single shot, 22'' barrel.
CONDITION: The straight wrist wood buttstock is good. has hairline cracks at each corner of each wrist tang spot where it meets the wood. Finish wear & scrapes. The nicked finish has largely worn away & the metal has toned to a rust brown patina. The nickel finish remains on the top end of the barrel, left side of the frame, & almost the entire right side of the frame. The left side of the frame is marked ''H.M. QUACKENBUSH'', their address & patent info. ''4718886'' is electro penciled on the left side of the frame, just above the trigger. The bore is poor, it's bright but has lots of rust & pitting. The barrel holds a small blade front sight with a U-notch rear. The buttstock carries a crescent moon buttplate, nickeled, most of the nice is worn away & plate has toned brown. appears to mechanically function fine. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 250
