RARE CYLIDNER CHOKE, Winchester, Model 42, 410 GA., MFG. 1950, SN: 89626, Pump action, 3'' Chamber, Choke: CYL, 28'' donut post, Ventilated ribbed barrel. Only a couple of thousand CYL choke model 42's compared to the 164,800 made in total from 1933 to 63. The majority of the CYL guns had 26'' barrels rather than the 28'' this gun has. This shotgun was fully & professionally restored. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, as professionally refinished & with virtually no handling marks. There appears to be no wood loss during the restoration process & the overall look & finish is excellent. The restored metal blue finish rates 99% overall. Stampings remain full. There are a few cleaned pit marks under the blue on the pump bar. Bore is excellent. The ventilated rib carries a single front bead. Proof stampings on receiver & barrel are to the left of the rib, which is correct. Buttstock carries a Winchester checkered plastic buttplate. An overall excellent restored condition 42, with a fantastic appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
