Antonio Zoli-Italy (Hy. Hunters Inc.), Model: Remington 1863 ''Zouave'' rifle Replica, Cal: .58, MFG: 1960's, S/N: 1866, Percussion Rifle, 33 1/8'' barrel.
CONDITION: The straight wrist walnut stock is very good near excellent with light nicks. dings, & scratches from use/age. Brass patch box in right cheek of stock. The barrel has been re-blued leaving some markings faded. Blue rates 87% with thinning starting to tone brown by the action & between both barrel bands. The lock has thinned remnants of a case-hardened finish around the hammer. The rear of the barrel is marked with the S/N, Italian Proofs, the Hy. Hunters address stamp & ''MADE IN ITALY''. Lock plate marked with a American great eagle & ''REMINGTON 1863''. The bore is Excellent. Bright & shiny with minor wear from light use. Three-groove rifling. The barrel holds a barleycorn front sight with a three-leaf U-notch rear sight. The stock carries a brass buttplate, has light patina. The rifle has both sling loops & a metal ramrod. Hammer locks in half & full cock, trigger will release hammer in half-cock. Muzzleloader, No FFL Req. - Value: 250 to 500
