Springfield Armory, Mode: 1898 Krag, .30-40 Krag, MFG: 1900, S/N: 268741, Bolt action rifle, 26'' barrel. The relaced pistol griped walnut stock is very good with various nicks, dings, dents & scratches from use/age. The metal has mostly worn gun metal gray with a speckling of brown patina. The bore is very good near excellent. Its bright & shiny with strong rifling but has light roughness. The barrel holds the original blade front sight & the original M1901 style of rear sight, tangent/ladder, U-notch/aperture rear sight marked 1 to 4 on the base & 5 to 20. The stock carries a steel trapdoor buttplate, toned to a mix of brown patina & gun metal gray, nothing inside the trapdoor. Rifle has both bottom sling mounts. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 500
