Winchester, M1917 Enfield, Cal: .30-06, MFG: June 1918, S/N: 321829, Bolt action rifle, 26'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip walnut stock is excellent with only minor wear. WW2 era replacement stock. The left flat of the stock, above the trigger is stamped with ''O.G.E.K.'' in a box. This marking means it was inspected by inspected by Elmer Keith at the Ogden Arsenal when it was refurbished between 1942 and 1945. There is a slightly faded circle ''P'' firing proof on the bottom of the wrist. The black parkerized finish rates 97% overall with some light finish thinning in spots. The left side of the receiver is marked with a US flaming bomb stamp, & two eagle head proof marks. The receiver band is marked ''U.S.'', ''MODEL OF 1917'', ''WINCHESTER'', & the S/N. The top end of the barrel is marked ''E'', US flaming bomb, ''8-18''. Eddystone marked safety & bolt release lever. The action & receiver are coated in grease. The rifle is missing the bolt, the front barrel band screw, & the front sight post. The bore is excellent. Bright & shiny with the original grease from refurb still packed in. The barrel holds front sight wings, but the post is missing. The rear of the receiver holds a slip up ladder aperture rear sight with protective wings. The stock carries a black parkerized steel trapdoor buttplate. buttplate has cleaned pitting scars under finish. Nothing inside trapdoor. Rifle has both bottom sling loops. With this rifles missing parts its being sold AS IS with NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
