Colt, 1849 Pocket, CAL: 31 Black Powder, MFG: 1862, SN: 220806, Single Action Revolver. 5 barrel. The wood grips are in good condition, solid with some dings and scratches, most notably two gashes on the bottom of the left grip panel. The finish on the barrel has worn and toned to a thin brown patina with some splotches of gun metal grey. The frame has some shadows of case-hardening. The nickel finish on the brass grip frame rates 88%. The top barrel flat is marked ''ADDRESS CCL SAM L COLT NEW YORK CITY US AMERICA'', the left side of the frame is marked ''COLTS PATENT''. Has matching serial numbers on the: grip frame, frame, barrel, cylinder, and barrel wedge. The cylinder has worn markings that are visible but not very defined. Bore is fair, very dark with fairly even roughness and a couple splotches of pitting but defined lands and groves. Mechanically solid with some side to side and back and forth play in the cylinder, hammer and trigger mechanism seems solid. The rear sight notch is cut into the hammer, front bead sight on the barrel near the muzzle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
