Colt, Detective Special: Post War, Second Issue, CAL: 38 SPL, MFG: 1964-68, SN: 960336, Double Action Revolver. 2'' barrel. The checkered wood grips with colt medallion are in very good condition with some handling wear and a small chip on the bottom of the right grip panel. The blued finish rates 94% with light handling wear, most notably the backstrap has worn down and toned to a mix gun metal grey, brown patina, and original bluing, there is also a ding on the end of the barrel near the muzzle. Bore is very good, the rifling is thin but bright. Mechanically poor, the cylinder and trigger mechanism seem to be out of time and will require professional gunsmithing to function properly. Blacked out sights, front sight is integral to the barrel, rear sight is cut into the frame. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
