Smith & Wesson, Safety Hammerless First Model, CAL: 38 S&W, MFG: 1887 SN: 1036, Double Action Revolver. 3 1/4'' barrel. The hard rubber grips are in good condition, they are solid with substantial handling wear, there is no checkering remaining on either grip panel. There is a large chip out of the bottom of the right grip panel. The nickeled finish is fair with substantial wear and some pitting and rust. Bore is fair, the rifling is thin and dark with even roughness. Mechanically solid, the cylinder has very little side to side and back and forth play. Rudimentary sights, front blade sight is integral to the barrel, rear sight is integral to the frame. Antique, no FFL Req - Value: 70 to 200
