J. Stevens A&T Co., Model 43 Diamond Second Issue, CAL: 22 LR, MFG: 1896-1916. SN: 28116, Single Shot, 5 7/8'' barrel. The wood grips are in very good condition with some handling wear, and minor dings. The bluing on the barrel has worn thin and toned to a mix of brown patina and original blue with some exposed gun metal grey. Bore is good, the rifling thin and slightly darkened with even roughness and light pitting. Mechanically good, the hammer and trigger mechanism seems to work well. The barrel does get stiff when opened all the way and requires a little bit of force to start closing, likely just needs to be cleaned. Buckhorn sights, rear buckhorn sight and front post sight are set in dovetail cuts on the barrel. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 600
