Indian ''Blanket Gun'', CAL: .69, MFG: early to mid 1800's, SN: NONE, Percussion Muzzleloader, 12 1/2'' barrel. According to the consignor, this example was originally cut down from a .69cal military flintlock musket, converted to percussion, then modified to it's current configuration. The checkered straight grip stock is very good & solid. There are numerous contusions, nicks & dings, with a good amount of asterisk embellishments in the stock. There are no visible markings on the gun. The metal components have fully toned to a brown patina, with consistent roughness throughout. Asterisk embellishments on the top of the barrel, same as the stock. Bore is poor, dark & rough. No sights. Brass tacks & buttplate. These nice early altered Indian Blanket Guns are becoming more scarce & truly embody the Indian Wars Era. 22'' OAL. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
