Colt, M1911, CAL: .45 ACP, MFG: 1918, SN: 382537, Semi Auto Pistol, single action only. 5'' barrel. Checkered wood grips are in good condition with handling wear. The gun is a mix of brown patina and gunmetal grey, this is common among this era of colts, commonly referred to as black army colts by collectors, these colts had thin bluing that wore away quickly. Markings on the right side of the slide read MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY, United States property mark on the left side of the frame has been ground away. Bore is good, rifling is fairly dark but has no visible pitting or rust. Mechanically solid with very little side to side play in the slide. steel sights, front sight screwed into the slide, rear sight is set in a dovetail cut on the slide. Comes with one magazine in a brown m1916 BOYT leather holster made in 1944 marked US. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1600
