RARE! Remington/Peters/Du Pont Salesman Sample Briefcase. Made beginning in 1960, this is a Salesman's Sample Display all fitted in a luggage type case containing all the original dummy ammo as displayed in the pictures. This was used to set up in stores or vendor sales to display various Remington-Peters ammo offerings of the era. The case remains in amazingly great condition with all original contents intact. Case measures 21'' x 15 1/2'' x 5 1/2'' closed. Contents show a bit of scattered shelf soiling. This salesman briefcase has a variety of cartridges including, centerfire, rimfire, shotshells, window shells & bullets. It folds out to display each set individually, or as a whole. Some of the shotshell cartridges still have protective wrapping on them. This is the first time we have seen this set! Former RSA president Roy Marcot believes there was between 12 to 20 Remington field salesmen nationwide at the time & that its possible one was made for each salesman's use. This would likely limit total sets to 20 or less. The briefcase itself is in excellent condition, both inside & out.
