Remington, No.5 Rolling Block short export bayonet, with sheath & frog. These shorter bayonets are more associated to the Mexico & other country contracts for rolling blocks, while the long version is associated with France's WW1 contract guns. No visible markings on the bayonet. Smooth wood grips with some nicks & dings, bear steel pommel & guard that are staring to tone brown with speckled dark patina. Blade has been sharpened & the tip is blunted from stabbing something hard. Blade also has speckled dark patina. blued steel sheath retains almost full blue coverage with some scuffs/scratches showing gun metal gray & some spots are toned brown. the leather frog has a black finish that's flaking/peeling showing the raw brown underneath. Grade: Excellent - Value: 50 to 200
