Winchester, Model 1886 TAKE-DOWN, 33 WCF, MFG. 1905, SN: 137474, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, 1/2 mag. The original straight grip stocks are excellent, retaining the majority of the original finish, with thinning at the carry points & minor handling marks, light scratches & contusions. The original metal blue finish 85% on the barrel, 80% on the receiver, with the lever & hammer being case-hardened & displaying muted case-colors. The sliding bolt retains a full 85% of its original bright blue. The barrel is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & a Lyman half moon blade & ivory bead front sight. Bore is excellent & bright. Stock carries a checkered widow's peak plastic shotgun buttplate, with sling eyelets in stock & forend cap. This rifle is an excellent example of an original & collectible 1886.
