Winchester, Model 1894, marked 38-55, MFG: 1904, SN: 233732, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Round Barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are excellent, with very few tiny to minor handling marks to the original finish. The finish however has suffered some heat damage, which has spiderwebbed & developed haze, which is most evident on the left side of stock & forend. The original factory metal blue finish rates 95% on barrel, 90% on mag tube, while the receiver retains 30% of original blue, with areas of thinning loss toning to a thin brown patina. The are a couple of pea sized spots of old pitting or speckling on the mag tube, Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman flip-up rang sight, while the barrel carries an adjustable rear & folding globe front sights. Original crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. An overall excellent & sharp appearing rifle, with strong collectability. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 3500
