Winchester, Model 1894 SRC, CAL: 32-40, MFG: 1904, SN: 253423, Lever Action Carbine, 20'' Round barrel, Full mag. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, with several tiny to minor scrapes, scratches & contusions to the stocks. The stocks appear to have been cleaned & possibly lightly sanded & refinished a long time ago, but have an authentic appearance. The original metal blue finish has worn mostly gun metal gray, with 20% remaining on the barrel, 30% on the mag tube & the receiver fully worn gun metal gray, with a very thin brown patina. There are three punch dot initial stamped into the right edge of the bell of the receiver. Bore is good, but with lots of cleaned roughness amongst strong rifling. There is also two rings in the barrel at 3.5'' & 5'' from the muzzle, but without too much visual evidence of bulges on the exterior. The barrel is fitted with a two leaf folding rear sight & carbine box front sight. Stock carries a smooth metal carbine buttplate. Saddle ring. Smooth tight action. A nice authentic appearance on this SRC shooter in the collectible 32-40 caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
