Winchester Model 1895, CAL: 35 WCF, MFG: 1905, SN: 50802 Lever Action Rifle, 23 3/4'' round tapered barrel. This rifle had a set of custom deluxe grain furniture made for it & current carries that set of stocks. It also comes with the original factory set of wood which was taken off. The custom stocks rate excellent, with fantastic feathered & rippled grain. There are very few tiny handling marks to the excellent high gloss finish. The fit of the wood to the metal is excellent. The forend carries the inlaid ebony insert. The original metal blue finish rates 85% on the barrel, 70% on the receiver. Case-colors on the hammer & internal lever components. The receiver has the matted top at the breech end. Bore is very good, with minor roughness amongst strong rifling. The receiver carries a Lyman model 21 ''Climbing Lyman'' receiver sight, while the barrel carries a blank filled rear dovetail & a Lyman gold bead blade front sight. The stock carries a checkered metal widow's peak shotgun style buttplate. Tight action. The extra set of original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. There are several minor to large contusions, scratches & scrapes, mostly found on the stock. They carry what appears to be the original finish. Ebony forend tip. Extra hole in belly of the forend, likely for a sling stud. A truly sharp presenting 1895 rifle, with the bonus of an extra set of wood. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
