Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall, .256 WIN. Cal., MFG. 1886, SN: 2713, Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 22'' Round barrel. No markings on the rifle other than the caliber stamping on the top of the barrel & the SN located on the lower tang. The straight grip stock & Schnabel style forearm, with an ebony inlay in the tip, are very good, as sanded & nicely refinished. There are minor scrapes, scratches & contusions remining. The current metal blued finish on the barrel& receiver is thinning & toning to a blue/ gray, with approximately 50% coverage & some chemical spotting. The lower tang has been reblued after polishing. There is an open screw hole in the lower tang. The receiver carries a Marbles flip-up tang sight, while the barrel carries a ramped blade front sight. Excellent bore. The stock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Sling studs in the stock & on barrel band. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
