J. Stevens A. & T. Co., Model No. 44, Cal: 32-40, MFG: 1894 - 1933, SN: 27214, Single Shot Rolling Block, 26'' Octagon to round barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with minor scratches or handling marks to the excellent orginal finish. The top of barrel is stamped ''J. STEVENS ARMS. & TOOL. CO. CHICOPEE FALLS.MASS. U.S.A. PAT. APR.17 94.'', while the left side is stamped ''32.40''. The SN is stamped on both the lower tang & the barrel. The original metal blue finish to the barrel rates 95%. The case-colored receiver displays fantastic case-colors. The barrel carries an adjustable rear & Rocky Mountain front sights. Bore is excellent. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. An overall excellent & original collector's grade Stevens 44 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
