Winchester, Model 70 Super Grade, CAL: 257 Roberts, MFG: 1951, SN: 179009, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' Round tapered barrel. The factory walnut wood stock has the Super Grade raised cheek piece, deluxe wrap-around checkering, plastic pistol cap & ebony forend tip. The stock appears to have been cleaned & carries the original finish, with added oils some time ago. There are minor scratches, scrapes & handling marks. The original metal blue finishes rate 90% on the barrel & receiver, while the floorplate & trigger rate 70%. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds a folding leaf flip-up rear & a hooded ramp front sight. The receiver is factory tapped for scope mounts. SN matching bolt. Buttstock carries the original widow's peak, checkered metal buttplate. Sling provisions. A collectible Super Grade model 70 in one of the rarer or more expensive calibers amongst collectors.
