Customized Rifle, Built from a U.S. Springfield 1903 Action, CAL: 30-06, MFG:1923 (action), SN: 1255628, Bolt Action Rifle, 26 3/4'' Round barrel. The custom cheeked, checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with a few very minor scrapes or scuffs to the excellent high gloss finish. Rosewood forend tip & pistol grip cap. The metal blue finish rates 90% on barrel & receiver, while the finish on the floorplate & trigger guard rates 50%. Three digit # scratched into hinge plate of floorplate. The top of the receiver has three open holes for future scope mounting, with no open sight provisions on the barrel. The bolt handle has been replaced for a more sporterized angle. Bore is very good. Stock carries a Pachmayr White-line ventilated recoil pad. Sling studs. A very nicely sporterized or customized military to hunter conversion. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 600
