Sporterized & Custom Built Rifle, Built from a Kokura Arsenal Japan Type 99 Action, CAL: 7.7x58mm, MFG: 1939-45 Action, SN: 67165, Bolt Action Rifle, 25 1/2'' Original Round barrel. The custom cheeked & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo style wood stock is excellent, with slanted rosewood forend tip & pistol grip cap. The stock exhibits inlays on the forend tip, sides of the stock under receiver, sides of lower stock & pistol cap. There are very few minor handling marks to the excellent finish. Excellent grain & overall appearance of the stock. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall. The receiver carries a Weaver K4 scope on Redfield mounts, with the original front sight on the original barrel. The barrel tip is mounted with a vintage bell shaped ventilated brake. The barrel has no markings, while the receiver carries the SN stampings. Bore is excellent. Stock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Empty provisions for quick release sling mountings. Jeweled extractor baron bolt. An excellent sporterized/customized military action to hunting rifle build. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
