Colt Lightning, Medium Frame. Marked .44 CAL (44-40 WCF)., MFG. 1886, SN: 19956, Pump Action Rifle, 26'' Round barrel, Full mag. The factory straight grip stock & checkered forend are excellent, with minor to small scrapes, scuffs & contusions, to the evenly thinning original finish. The forearm checkering remains prominent, with some smoothing of the points & carries the original thinning finish. The original metal blue finish rates 60% on the barrel, 20% on the mag tube, with the receiver worn mostly gun metal gray & a thin brown patina, with remnants of original blue in protected areas. Bore is very good & bright, with some spotty areas of cleaned roughness. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & an elongated blade front sight. Crescent metal buttplate. Overall, very nice original & antique pump rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2500 to 4500
